SL30 = 30lbs
SL20 = 20lbs

Easy as that. You don't have to stick to that but its the general guideline. Going for to small a diameter will lead you open to nesting.

usin some version of penn 25lb on slash 30,have had no probs, powerfull real. grand to cast. put up with savage abuse. they'r bit bulky if your used to 6500's or anything but two or three casts. enjoy oh ya, the spool when fully loaded is a bit fast,it needs to be slowed down either with greasy bearings or something

found that out the hard way didn't relies you had to put the breaks in yourself i have 20lbs diawa tournament on it but some how it just dosent feel right may be a extra 5lbs braking strain will help.
thanks lads

Shane if you tighten the spool too it will help tame the reel somewhat. Roundy nob on right hand side of the reel, don't over tighten though.
