Here is a copy of my original post on the Australian site:
Distances listed were the best for each caster:
Well we had our first interstate comp for 2008 and it was a great day with some top casting , great friends and a good feed to boot.
The weather wasn't the best in the world with rain in the morning that threatend to put a dampner on the event but thankfully we only had very brief passing showers . Winds were quite good and the pressure wasn't to bad at 1008. It was overcast all day but everyone who attended went away with a smile on there face, well nearly every one .
We should point out that the bithday boy of the event , Scott Selby didn't get the birthday present that he wanted but his card from the South Australian lads with BP featuring put a big smile on his dial.
Lee Andrews took top honors today and a top effort with a hard battle between, Lee, Scott and the new commer Nick making for a top event right up to the last cast.
Top Distances for each caster was as follows:
Lee Andrew 251.5 Meters 125 gram Scott Selby 245.9 meters 150 gram Nick Panis 245.62 meters 150 gram Jeremy Schrader 227.6 meters 125 gram Mark Johnston 220.5 meters 150 gram Eddie D ( sorry Eddie I will get the spelling corrected later ) 197.1 meters 125 gram Mike Bailey 168.7 meters 125 gram Grahm Johnson 154 meters 100 gram Murray 130 meters
A big thank you for the interstate travelers Mike & Eddie from South Australia ( 8 hours trip each way ) .
Scott also thanks for flying down from Sydney for the comp - Also happy birthday
Thanks to all who attended and made this a great day
