Here is a copy of my original post on the Australian site:
Distances listed were the best for each caster:
Well we had our first interstate comp for 2008 and it was a great day with some top casting , great friends and a good feed to boot.
The weather wasn't the best in the world with rain in the morning that threatend to put a dampner on the event but thankfully we only had very brief passing showers . Winds were quite good and the pressure wasn't to bad at 1008. It was overcast all day but everyone who attended went away with a smile on there face, well nearly every one .
We should point out that the bithday boy of the event , Scott Selby didn't get the birthday present that he wanted but his card from the South Australian lads with BP featuring put a big smile on his dial.
Lee Andrews took top honors today and a top effort with a hard battle between, Lee, Scott and the new commer Nick making for a top event right up to the last cast.
