Realistic casting

Postby round_ourway » Thu May 17, 2007 2:20 pm

I went out last night to practise a bit of casting and to actually see myself casting!!!!!!!
Realising how crap and how bad your technique is a very big wake up call. lol. so i think im back to looking like a loser in the back garden with a garden brush lol.

The strange thing is that i was still hitting 150 yards with this cast and on a couple of occasions hit the 200yard mark. I have a 50m tape and always mark out the field before casting.

don't mean to offend lads, but i have a lot of faith for Sean and the lads at Ulster Casting Club as they have helped me loads, and its closer to home, no offense but one to one help is better than written help, beside i though this forum was for the Ireland casting club you have set up, must be wrong, sorry.

MC, no offence taken or intended, this fourm is for everyone who is interested in casting regardless of club or location,,i know both marty and sean and value there thoughts and suggestions too,a bit of friendly rivalry is part n parcel of this game, wait untill the real slagging kicks in, Both andrew and sean have cast in excess of the magical 300yards and have prob forgotten more casting info than i will ever learn. Also yes your right one on one will always beat writen or verbal help but seeing a cast and making recomendations is still a very good aide, as i have learned myself..

thanks for all the advice lads. I'm going out this weekend and going to rig up the camera and try and upload the video. I dont really want to upload the one i was talking about as its a bit crap looking. so i'm going to work on my technique a little.
