The RT ones use loops as far as i remember, but the DCA ones can be used with both the short and long tails. Certain casters recon the long tail leads fly truer through the air than the short tail leads for some reason :?

Cheers lads,

Whatever leads I wll be using I need some tuition and fast.

I was at a serious disadvantage in Killary yesterday as I just could not get the bait out into the "hot zone" where all the rays and doggies were sitting waiting.

When do we hope to get the first meet going??
:D

I forgot to mention that kstaff will have to pay extra for his leads as punishment for casting further than me all the time.

Cheers Dave - wouldnt have had a clue what it was only for stevecrow :D

Took it on Plain mack - size 1/0 hook - took middle bait of a 3 hook flapper - distance no more than 60/70 yds - really shy takew - two little taps - was really hard to see it in the wind  - wound it and felt nothing  - left it down and got two more taps and he was on :D :D

Was really hoping for a ray but it wasn't gonna happen for me

Am gonna head up there again in summer :D

Steve is planning another meet (I think)

It is probably a nice spot when its not howling a gale and hammerin rain  :D  :D

Just a quick note , Henry,s Tackle will be doing a full range of DCA leads very soon he has plenty of 150g at the moment, by next week he will have 1/2 kilo spools of sakuma nite crystal 0.28 0.32 0.35 and i also asked him to get in some Hi-viz shock in the required dia,s too.
And he has also kindly agreed to sponser our oche which is being done spicificly for us with our club name, Thanks again H..

When i get the ins cert from IFSA this week i will get it down to the army and see if they will let us get started asap, (maybe 13th if poss) and then falling back to the last sunday of each month, any more info will be posted on here as soon as i get it,, i cant wait myself. that gives everyone enough time to get well stocked up on leads of there choice, line, shock, etc...
Also a quick thanks to Keith for sorting out the court flags.

The Mans End of the Court!!!

Postby kstaff » Wed May 23, 2007 1:58 pm

Just to let everyone see what's going to be down the far end of the court! I know I won't have much cause to be down there, except when I'm sticking these in the ground! :(

There are also numbers from 100 up too so no need to panic yet!!
But after meet 2 everyone will be close to these hopefully! :D
