Sports Cast Ireland.
I am circulating this e-mail looking for people who would be interested in becoming a "regular member" of an Irish casting club ,
"Sports Cast Ireland", which is still a pipe-dream at the moment but if we get enough genuine interest it can progress to a reality . As some of you are aware nearly every country in Europe and some even further a field have a notional team to put forward for European and world casting events except Ireland,,!! So we are hoping to change all that.
There are a few of us attending the invitational "Primo" event in UK in July to celebrate castings 100th anniversary,
this competition celebrates the centenary of the birth of august 'primo' livenais, probably the best caster the world has ever seen and as things stand we don't even have a full team for this event, and its a shame as its probably one of the biggest casting compitions that has been staged in a very long time.
Club fee's should cost (E30-40 aprox) per head to join which will entitle the individual to cast at Irish casting heats. qualifier's, and national events including an all Ireland event to be held annually, also be eligible for qualification for other international events and to be covered by the clubs insurance.
This payment will be a one off and should decrease in the 2nd year and so on.
