More bass than codling in youghal these days.Only 2 weeks ago I happened to be fishing on youghal beach with a friend of mine, both of us shook or heads as we watched a trawler come almost on top of us whilst setting nets.
Factor in as well the distinct lack of crab in the estuary be it due to natural reasons or been commercially targeted again along with flounder been used as pot bait it's no wonder youghal is fishing crap.

Jesus. Flounder for pot bait. Dragging nets within a cast of the shore.
An awful lot of Irish commercials are highlighting the awful stuff shown in that film "Atlantic". A look in the mirror wouldn't go astray
