Does anyone know is there any truth in the rumour that the venue has been changed away from Caherciveen next year?

It's not a rumour.. laat year fips brought in a protocol saying that all xompetitors had to be accommadated in the same hotel or complex. Unfortunately Caherciveen can not meet this requirement, therefore they cannot host it there, it is up to another club and province to take ot on or else it will be moved to another country for 2015, making us look particularly foolish in the eyes of our sports governing body.

Hmmmm! Did people in Cork drop the ball?
I am not bashing the IFSA here (not too much anyway..

), but as a match organiser myself - They really need to have their act together hosting these big events. I see lots of problems with scores/results in competitions here....

No, but if the same people drop the ball again on September 21th then Bundoran's neighbours will be laughing again.

OK

What happens if they get a decent westerly blowing?
No offence to Bundoran and fair play to them for securing the competition...

Cork did drop the ball. The requirement to house everyone in the same hotel was an issue - estimated at between 120/140 people. Raising the required sponsorship funding was also a concern.

The stretch of ground known locally as eastlands, running East from Mullaghmore to Bundoran is fairly well sheltered from Westerly wind by Mullaghmore Head.
