Great choice of venue. Cork Harbour will fish whatever the weather. In the fish-offs last weekend over 3500 fish were caught. That was over 100 fish per angler over the two days and all fish were caught within the confines of the Harbour. The fishing in early December should be just as good.
BTW with all those anglers the Bellavista should fill up quickly, a deal will also be available from the Commodore Hotel (
http://www.avvio.com/hotels/Commodore_H ... /index.php) so no worries on the accommodation front

Hey...isn't that you Jim and Deora De?
I'd suggest Deora De deserves a booking this time

The fishing looks like it will be good for the weekend coming. Although, there has been a lot of floodwater, a recent shore competition off the quays of Cobh gave a taster for what to expect. There were plenty of dogs, whiting, and codling. In fact it was reported back to me that it was nearly a fish a cast. If boats fish the inner Harbour, like they did for the fish-offs, expect huge numbers of fish

. Just to add a bit of variety, local trawlers have caught HAKE and JOHN DORY within casting distance of the quays

in the last week. Is there a prize for most exotic species? There were also tope caught during the fish-offs. The variety of species that this harbour can throw up never ceases to amaze.

hi ,
did this go ahead, any results, or was it another victim of the terrible weather, rollon next week, a break at last.
