whats the deal with insurance on the boats for the competition bar?

Competition Rules will be provided after Entry Fee is paid
Nice... I'm just hoping that competition is on C&R basis.
Imagine someone who spent time and money trying to act for shark protection. Was actively involved in events like Europeead Shark Week, etc. And now he paid entry fee only to find out that he need to kill a fish.
To be clear I'm not intending to take part, these just my thoughts around that, after reading flyer.

The company in that link :
http://www.insurance-4-boats.co.uk/ are part of Porthcawl Insurance. I'm with them and have always found them to be competitive. But as with all insurance...make a few calls before you renew. Also, whatever the company you choose, pay close attention to the terms and conditions... Eg: many standard insurance policies include a "lay up" during the winter.
