you have to be a member of a club
Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:00 pm
You don't have to be a member of a club , But if your not it will cost you more as you will need a 2 day IFSA pass.
Southshore SAC one of the largest in the country are currently taking members.
One of the many benefits of joining southshore SAC are the angling workshops run by a field of the clubs international anglers, IMHO the is no better way to learn.
If you or anyone else would like more information , please send me a PM.
Dave.

Hi all, I'm interested in coming over to fish this 2 dayer, I've fished Curracloe before in the Kilmore festival but not any of the other venues, not that I remember anyway it was a while ago. Could anyone give me some info what to expect at that time of year on these venues.
Cheers

dependant on weather but your main targets will be flounder, whiting, dabs, small schoolies and rockling
dogs could show if you get some settled weather on the night session, and who knows a surprise codling or two

Cheers Eric, I'll have to do a bit of homework before I decide whether or not to travel over.

i have fished, twice, plenty of flounder on it given the right conditions

I have fished this beach many times in competitions and there are always good bags of fish, i had a bag of 36 fish on it once and i did not win the competition so take it out of that. it's a good beach that always produces fish, its never fished by locals because of all the holiday makers there during the summer. so saying that curracloe is not a hot spot is a sweeping statement.

Well said paul,
carpets it can be a great beach when conditions are good, culletons gap I is better again but the thing that puts anglers off fishing there is all the cars that get broken into that area during summer months. Great animal fishing on the boats along that strech too earlier in the year.

To be honest I found this beach as a good choice of venue, the day was flat calm and bright and I had I think it was 16 flounder and won my zone.

. This was the Kilmore festival, does anyone know if Kilmore sac is still running? just tried signing onto their site and it has not been updated since sometime in 2007!
