well who won the comp ???
Mon Feb 02, 2009 1:45 pm
Not me i lost 6 or seven traces all i caught was lumps of sea weed and a log i bloody hate fishing in those conditions. i left early.
Mon Feb 02, 2009 2:09 pm
Jimmy Farrell won this one.
Had a horrible time of it, lost count of the number of traces I lost. I only had 15lb line with me so it was my own fault
Gerry Mahony gave me some 50lb line which I ran straight through, and I managed to pick up one whiting that was in.
Of course, when I opened the boot there was a spool of 30lb mono in front of me.....

Was out walking the dog on Sunday in Greystones and there were a lot of anglers there. talking to my mate he got a peg in Newcastle and he said there were some in Killoughter. Jasus there are a lot of hardy men about to fill that amount of beaches. Fair dues to anyone who fished it no matter where they came in terms of results that's what I call dedication.
Easterly winds throwing up 6 foot waves and mountains of weed holy s***.
How many anglers took part
Yappo
