. I thought this was going to be the easy first step to affiliation. No rush.
Where you talking to someone or did you just send an email ?
E-mail sent end of May, Replied received from Munster Sec start of June stating that forms will be posted out to me. It is now the middle of June ...not good enough and a bad way to start when you are dealing with a new customer. I have already started exploring alternate insurance with no long delays or hoops to jump thru as many other sea angling clubs in Ireland have done.

I can confirm that Kerry Sac will not be applying for IFSA affiliation due to a lack of interest from the munster council, I cannot even get application forms sent out to me. In times of dropping membership numbers I would of expected bringing on board 20-30 new IFSA members would of received a better responce.
Anyway I will be in contact with my Insurance broker on Monday to discuss the clubs requirements. I would appreciate anybody that is a member of a club that have arranged their own insurance to get in contact with me via PM or e-mail.
I would envisage that Kerry Sac will have its first meet/Competition before the end of July 2011. Thanks to all those who have been in touch via e-mail, PM, Facebook etc ... I will continue to update you all on proceedings.
Thanks.

The Master Angler / Fish-Off Events are run by the IFSA, so the answer to that one is a no.

Kerry Sac will no longer be looking at setting up a club for the Limerick/North Kerry region due to lack of interest and the recent start up of a new club in the Region "Ballybunion Sac". To those who expressed genuine interest I can suggest Tralee Bay Sac, Waterville Sac or the newly formed Ballybunion Sac.

Sorry to hear John, it sounded like the fishing would have been good.

Sure we will see how things go, if the Ballybunion club does not go ahead with IFSA and we can get enough people to comitt (12+) come september then it could be a runner, I wud need assistance from others with running the club.
