Connaught Open Shore Gold Medal 2010

We fished this competition the weekend and it was very well run by Mike,Conor and the crew, we even got our gear dropped to our pegs and brought back, now that's a nice touch especially for an auld fellow like me with a doggy leg the beach has great potential and it did not show it on Saturday due to weather conditions. Although we did not do too well we will return again next year.
Well done to the lads and Cris on his win "how do you do it"

9 hours driving
1 hour drinking red bull
5 hours fishing
4 hours talking about fishing and eating
= one very long day.

thanks to all the anglers who travelled from afar and for their patience as we got the runs with the gear sorted to the pegs which were nearly 1.5km away from the river

well done to all those on the committee who made this possible - even those ones who were late

great to meet the lads from lough foyle again - nice huss there warren great when a plan comes together
