VHF course

Tue Jun 06, 2006 3:03 pm

We have a VHF on our boat since last year and although it works and I have used it I would like to do a course and get my cert (or whatever it is you get).
I don't have time to do a big course that might include vhf as part of it's contents, I just want to do a course specifically for vhf.
I'm based in Dublin and would very much appreciate if anybody could point me in the direction of a course or the name of a body I could ring to get details.

Nobody in the Dublin area is running a course in the near future, with the possible exception of Sea Craft in Bray; David Jerrard is the contact on 012863362. They said next month (a week or two ago), possibly. I'll get back onto them for an update.

these courses are run all around the coast.

give them your location and tell them you want to do a vhf short range course
