Is blanking a thing when boat fishing?

Postby Gonzo » Tue Jul 28, 2020 8:58 pm

Hi Lads,

Just wondering if blanking is a thing when boat fishing? or is it just a case of not getting on top of your marks properly? had a pretty bad day out on the boat the other day, only got 2 mackerel in 5 hours..

Cheers

Ouch!
Blanking is a thing on boat fishing, but it is not normal. Usually you need to fish to a plan and if the plan A doesn’t work then plan B falls into action. You might not get your target species but you get “something to get a bend “.
