any recomendations on a good giling/shadding rod. have one of the penn tuff sticks 12-20 lb rods but want to upgrade to something better.

Shimano Speed Master 12-20
Abu Suveran 12-20
Penn Tidecutter 12-20

All good choices...

The abu suveran is a very nice rod, its quite dear but worth it. I picked one up at Christmas but haven't used it yet but by the feel of it it will be ideal for light mixed fishing or fishing jellies.

You could consider using an Uptider for your Gilling/Shadding. That extra bit of length can be handy for avoiding other angler's lines if you're stuck for a bit of elbow room on a Charter.

Just a thought to confuse you more! :P
