Pretty sure there is a 'Small Boat Angling' club in the country somewhere, maybe try contacting JimC from the forum here(?): memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=18
I used to have a dinghy that I used for pollack fishing along the shore. I got caught out one day when a wind picked up out of nowhere, I took my life in my hands getting back to the harbour i'd launched from. Sold the boat straight after.
Dinghys are only suitable for really calm days in the sea IMO. Or really sheltered areas. Up to you..
good luck
Charlie

Did you find out any info on a club for dinghys. I have a old Zodiac 3.8 meter with a 15hp Evinrude . Both still in great condition but as chuckaroo said when the wind blows it can be dodgy. With that in mind it would be good to go out fishing with other for safety and of course the company and the crack.

No club as far as I'm aware.
There are a few of us down in the Cork area that fish regularly.
