Hi all a quick one for ya, what way should a rig be for porbeagle ? And and hints for bait? Also is there a possibility of other big fish on the same rig. And is a weight needed how many ozs ? And I'm guessing no balloon .

Hi there,
I have been messing around with them for a while.
I use 80lb braid or 60lb mono, 400lb wind on leader, 3ft of 49 strand stainless FGA wire 400lb to a 10/0 or 12/0 owner hook.
I have been using a balloon and generally have it about 25ft down. I do use about 2oz of lead it's normally enough.
Bait I generally use a double mackerel flapper of the biggest live mackerel you can catch on the day.
But your ruby dubby is your biggest part to catching a porgie. Lots of it and plenty of oil and bran.
My third hook up that resulted in my first on the kayak. Here's a video of the action.
