Darragh 14

Thinking of downgrading from a microplus boat to a darragh 14 ,I'm thinking smaller engine for more fuel economy and a smaller cabin for more fishing room ,I was looking into orkney longliner/coastliner with a cuddy but are beyond my price range at the moment should I wait or is a darragh 14 worth taking a chance on ,I wouldn't be going out in stupid weather ,but how do they perform?

Is it the Darragh with the cuddy? ....My first boat :)
The longliner/ coastliner would probably be a better boat but the Darragh will do fine for fine-weather inshore fishing. Performance will not be eye watering in terms of speed but they are a displacement hull anyway. We always had steering from tiller outboard. If you had a steering system then you would be well protected from the elements.

I'd look into a Shetland or a sea hunter great stability and good enough speed
