iv to replace the keelband on the boat,,,should i go with a stainless steel one or would a galvanised one do,,i think the stainless is a bugger to drill,,,its a job i hate going at as the boat is on the trailor and i have to jack the boat up stady it some way with barrells get the trailor out (which needs weilding ) so im only going to get one go at this,,,,any advice would be appreciated,,,

Stainless all the way it will last longer it is harder to work with but may aswell do it right the first time....

Stainless definetley.
Drill and countersink beforehand, where you buy it may do it for you!Job for life!

Watch with stainless if there are any sharp bends on the keel, springs like a good one. Speaking from experience with my Orkney.
