Hi,
I am looking for recommendations for a annual fishing trip I am organising this Summer (end July/Aug).
We have fished Cobh for the past 3 years and this year want to try somewhere else , nothing wrong with Cobh (great spot) but will try something new .
There will be 28 persons traveling so I need info on :
Skippers
Hotels
prices
We arrive on a Friday , fish Sat , home Sunday .
Few drinks & presentation on the Saturday .
Anyone got anywhere up north in mind that could accommodate this large party ?
Rgds
Luke.

You could try Michael McVeigh in Downings I am sure he could sort you out with accommodation and the boat charter here's a link to his website

http://www.rathmullancharters.com/ Think the site has links to accommodation and all, on my phone here so can't check what exactly is on it, Angela's number should be on the site, if you give her a call she'll be able to provide with all the info you require.

Culdaff will be fishing great at that time of year and there are 2 charter boats located there and i'm sure they could draft in another one if you talked to them. Plenty of tope, wreck, ground fishing within 15 minutes of the pier and it is only 30 minutes from city of derry airport if you're flying or 1.5 hours from larne or belfast ferry terminal. Check our Inishowen Boating on the North West Charters website and McGrorys Guest House for excellent accomodation and top live music. Charters are usually between 400-500 euro depending on type of fishing. We hold an annual competition in Culdaff at the end of July running over a saturday and sunday so here is an option to fish that also. Good luck.

Have to agree with what Ciaran has said, I have fished out off all the ports mentioned above, Culdaff definitely has the edge, more fish, better variety, shorter steaming time. If you want detailed info I can PM you if you want.
Culdaff SAC holds its annual 2 day comp at the end of July, there is normally a great buzz around the village that weekend.

Hi ,
I skippered in Donegal Bay for a few years but recession has forced me out the fishing there in last 2years has been bad your best bet is as the lads said Mc Veigh in Downings or Rathmullan they have 2boats & have alot of good wrecks very close in.
