bait tips for boat fishing in howth

hi going boat fishing out in howth this week any tips on bait to bring only ever fished with feathers in the summer cheers

rag, lug, crab .sandeel,and have brought squid sardines and have caught nothing but tiny whiting and doggies.have caught more on the mini sabikis than i did with all those baits.fresh macks your only man

is it a little late on in the year to try for macks with feathers any we catch i suppose we could use for bait.....cheers

Macks are patchy, but still plenty about (up this way, at any rate).
