dublin bay advice

I asked for help recently with tope in Dublin, thanks for the replies lads especially concancook.

we went out but found the tides ferocious. Unfortunately we only had 25lb mono and 30lb on the reels but we just coundn't hold bottom out on the Bennet bank at anchor and had no uptide gear.
i have access to boat in malahide for the next few weeks and was wondering if anyone could help me with picking a particular tide and mark in the next coming month where we might pick up something better than mack or pollock.
also any advice about drift fishing in the area would help

really hoping someone can help

The Rockabil Light House can be good for cod, pollack, ling and ballan wrasse. It is best fished at rising tide and drifting around the light house is probably the best method and you can go on the anchor. Spreader boom with a flyer six feet above the spreader boom is effective.
Drifting off the light house on sand will produce lots of pinhead whiting and dabs with some small haddock. Anchoring on the sand will produce LSD,bullhuss and occasional thornback ray. Mackerel and rag are the best baits.
