Boat Reel

Hi lads looking for information on a boat reel, i have a Daiwa Slosh that i usually use around Kilmore/Rosslare area but am heading to Cork in september for some wreck fishing, was looking to purchase a good reel strong enough and with a good gear ratio maybe less than 100 euro? Any suggestions would be welcome...i was looking at Mitchell Uptide 4/0 or 6/0.....

Not for a tonne bud,if your wrecking at depth, you could really do with a reel that has a 6 2 1 ratio.I use a shimano torium myself .Superb retrieve .

Cheers Ultegra, I've seen those Shimano's and had a look at Daiwa Saltlist just out of my budget at the moment, fished last year with a Penn Longbeach in 400 foot of water, hard work reeling in i tell ya even without fish.

The slosh (30?) would do you fine for wrecking. I use a 525 or 535 most of the time.
Something beefier might handy if you go to anchor or if the conditions are tough and you are using +12oz of lead.

I have a Mitchell Riptide 4/0 for sale in the for sale/wanted section. It would be suitable for what you are looking for.
