There are two ways you can go about this.
Plan A:
Is to set up heavy gear, a Penn 6/0, 50lb class rod, 80lb line and a 10/0 hook.
This gear will drag up everything including bits of the wreck.
or.
Plan B:
A Penn 535/545 or similar (something with a good retrieve to get you up fast to change the baits) a 20/30 class rod over 7’ and 30/40lb braid with 30lb shock leader (wrecks will make mulch of braid).
Plan A:
Will drag up any fish you hook on to.
Plan B:
Will be a case of your ability to land the fish and while the tip of your rod is pointing to the sea bed words like, "help", "what am I going to do now", "he’s going back down", and another few cries of "help" will make it all more enjoyable.
Often the best day out is the day when you lost a good fish because the fish beat you.
Angling is not all about what you catch it’s about how you enjoyed the experience.
