lug on feathers

hi, lads, heading to donegal saturday on boat trip, wonder would the lug can be good bait on feathers for pollack, pouting and other speasies, or beter just single hook, well aint never used them from boat atall, so i want to ask is any point to have them :?: all advices are wormly welcome :!: thanks :D

i would bait the bottom three hooks with lug/rag or fresh macks if there is any around

depends on the fishing area, tides time etc, try a mix of baits, squid, mac, rag, lug, sandeel and go with the flow!
results will change with the tide, time, drift and location.
my fav bait is lug! probably cos i dig it myself and had the best results on it, but it does limit yer fishing a bit!

It'll work, but not any better than the feathers themselves if the fish are in predatory mood. Ragworm would be better, but my favourites would be thin strips of mack belly or squid.

thanks lads, i think we will be fishing over rough ground mostly if the lug works i would head to nearest beach for digging the day before. well i have some squid might just cocktail them with strip of mac and stick lug on his own to another hook that should be good enough would't :?: hopefuly will be the chance to make a good raport :D
