You will be fishing for Ballen Wrasse and Pollack around Irelands Eye and you might end up anchoring up for Doggies and Flats. Make sure you have plenty of good Ragworm and 'gill' with it around the 'stack' off Islands Eye. You should pick up Wrasse on the Southern side of the 'stack' and Wrasse /Pollack on the Eastern side (back of the island). For 'gilling' use a single hook (size 3/0 should be enough as the fish are not too big) attached to a length of line 6 to 8 foot long, in turn attached to a swivel then the main line with a boom and weight. Work the reel slowly but be careful as the bottom is very rough there. For the Doggies a 3 hook rig with some coloured beads above each hook should work well. Theres some Mackeral around the area at the moment (we picked up around 30 off Bray on Sunday) so try and get some for fresh bait for the Doggies.
