Tenerife Charters

Hi all
Anyone have information of good charters in Tenerife - want to avoid 6 hours of catching minnows after being promised a proper trip.
I believe there are some decent boats and skippers but also a bunch of rip-off merchants.
Any info much appreciated.

I was on a hell of a god trip some years ago (4/5) now. We caught sail fish and Big Eye Tuna . he takes 6 persons max About €100 each. That includes beer, soft drinks, fruit and lunch.
It is a fair set up. You spend the time trawling with 7 rods. 1 per person and one for Marlin. Before setting off each rod is numbered and each person draws a number from a hat and pairs with the rod of same number. When your rod screems you are put into the chair. Every person gets a turn if you catch a sail fish.
To the best of knowledge the boat was called sail fish. It's and american man and his son run it. But they know their stuff and the boat is amazing. My advise is book the trip as early as possible with one of the wee agent people that do all the trips- preferrably the 1st day.
On the other side i booked a shark trip in portugal. What a waste of time
and £££. Be careful. If you can source that boat and skipper i would recommend it 100%.

i lived in los americas for a few years back in the nintys at that time the best charters were all based in costa tequise not too far from los americas the guy i used to go with was also american so it could be the same skipper fabulas day out with a lot of tuna and marlin caught each time it was only 10000pesetos back then about 50 quid and your guarenteed to be knackered coming back i would try and book direct with the boat as all these reps get commission on your booking so it may work out cheaper this way
