Rig Question

Found a rig in an old drawer lately I used it, found it good but dont know what to call it.
It is made from 3 pieces of interlinking stainless wire and when stretched the arms stand out at right angles similar to a paternoster.Great for to avoid tangles when fishing for dabs or whiting.
Any ideas lads as to a name so that I will know what to ask for if I want to buy more?Thanks.

Alright fastnet sounds like you have a rig with booms on there. Just ask your tackle dealer for booms for rig making for shore tackle.

Sorry just see that this post is in the boat section, its the same thing anyway booms for boat fishing..

Sounds like it might be a Herne Bay spreader rig although would need to see pic to be sure.

They are like hens teeth and you wont find them through any of the normal tackle shops as they tend to be home made now. Excellent for slack water whiting and dabs from the boat.

Other than that it migh be a stainless version of the old brass wire paternoster rig.

Deffo a type of herne bay spreader, we used them in the worlds in holland last year, deadly at slack tide for dabs/whiting/codling.
You can't buy them in tackle shops. they were originally developed by the late Ron Edwards in Herne bay, when he died the forms he used to make them went missing.
your only chance is to copy the one you have, or find someone who can actually make them, and is willing to pass on a few to you at a price.
