Question to the floor:
Is there anywhere in Ireland (e.g. library, public offices etc.) where you can view charts without having to pay an arm and a leg??
I was going to beg for a digital charts of some sort for my birthday a few weeks ago.
Gave up quite quickly 'coz it looked like you could spend a lot of money for charts for a small piece of coastline. Maybe I'm wrong, but the choice bamboozled me a bit.
Any cost effective way of studying the coastline for depth, features etc.without spending a small fortune?

I split this from a slightly different topic.
http://mappe.c-marina.com/main/Default.asp?code=pghomeYou will find on-line charts here. Use the link "port book". It really needs broadband and is better if you register.
