Good tips/ spots
From the 23rd of May till the 31st of May we will be visiting Ireland for a sea fishing holiday. This will be our first time in Ireland. We will stay in the Southwest of Ireland in the village Sneem. The first two days we will be fishing on one of the boats of O’Shea. The last day we will go on a boot around Valantia Island.
The rest of the days, and maybe some of the evenings, we will be fishing on our one boat(5,35m, same size as a Warrior 165).
Because it is our first time in Ireland((the 10 years before we have been to Denmark and Norway several times) we don’t have any experience. Could somebody give us some tips for good fishing spots(coordinates of places/ wrecks, places around a certain buoy/ isle, or other tips). We want to fish for big fish like Cod/ Pollack, Ling, Sea Bass and Conger but also for Sole, Plaice, Dab, Ray, Doggy’s, Turbot and Gurnard.
We have got a depth meter and a chart plotter on board!
Other tips about the way of fishing are also nice. Until now we heard that the way to fish is to keep it simple. A piece of lead of around 6 ounce, hooks 7/0, 8/0 with a strip or half a mackerel, and a leader of around 1,5 meter 1,00 or 1,25 nylon. Maybey with a zipglider.
Besides that, we want to fish with small pilkers(3 or 4 ounces), 15 cm shads with 2 or 3 ounce heads and lines with feathers, edingstone eels and other stuff.
Please help us.
Already thank you for answering.

Hello Pieter.
Now, I don't know anything at all about the area you/ll be fishing, but let me be the first to point out that one of your target species, the SeaBass, has a closed season in this country. No fishing for Bass from May 15th to June 15th.
And you'll be here right in the middle of it.
Still, hopefully there'll be plenty more fish species in the sea for you.
