What you want is some chrome plated 1 inch diameter rod so that you can make up some pirks with the usual split rings, swivels and trebles.
When in a fishing tackle shop in the UK ( somewhere ?) a few years back I found some 12 or 18inch lengths of chrome rod. So made my own with drill and hacksaw. I slip a muppet onto the treble.
It pays to have different lengths ( weights ) of pirk to suit tide and drift conditions.

In fact I was given some lead pirks the other day. They will need painting. IMO, to be useful. Chrome is the best.

70 miles off Yorkshire they tend to favour the Ripper. As per a normal bar pirk, but instead of a split ring/treble at the bottom they drill the bar through, pass some strong cord through and tie on a single large hook on each end of the cord.

So, down to the hardware shop and get some wardrobe poles. They'll do nicely.

Come to think of it though, I have a couple of Norwegian pirk moulds kicking around somewhere. You're welcome to borrow them, but you'd need to get the inserts. (The wire/bar bit that runs through the middle of it, for connecting splitrings.) Dunno if either is a 300g mould, either. got them from Gerry's of Morcambe, iirc.

You should spray them afterwards with an aersol of car paint. They're lovely and shiney oout of the mould, but fade quickly.

If you cant find any moulds closer to home you could try this company in the Netherlands. Here is a link to some pictures.
