Greetings, everyone.
i was referred to this site last week for the wealth of information and your generosity to share them. So far, you've more than lived up to the reputation.
I live in southern california where we're blessed to have great weather and fishing most of the year. i've been fishing for the past 8 years chasing albacore and tuna offshore may thru october, and bottom fish from dec thru mar.
My wife is from Cork is we're taking the kids to visit the in-laws (Douglas)in march and i'm jonesin' for a fishing trip while i'm there. Thanks to the diligence of ScreemingReel, i see there are some fish to be caught.
I need your help in finding a sea fishing company/guide from kinsale, cork or cobh area for a 3/4 day trip, from 7a-5p (or at least that's how they do it here).
you can get a taste of our kind of fishing at allcoast.com or bloodydecks.com, if you're interested. attached is me with an early spring yellowtail aboard my favorite boat, the legend, about 100 miles south of san diego.
thanks in advance for all your help.
Oliver

Welcome aboard Oliver, I'm sure some of the Cork boys will get you sorted. We get some tuna over here too, bluefins and albacore but the weather is a little 'different' to what you'd be used to

hello, Pete,
i see you're in Donegal, i remember someone caught a 800lb bluefin there a few years back. that monster was a beauty!
we get bluefin here, but only for a short time when the water temp is between 52 -56F. and they don't run anywhere near that size. If we get a 100lb'r you'll be in the papers for weeks! 8)
as for fishing in march, i'm still deciding between that and spending a couple of days in tralee in a waterpark...tough call, eh?
cheers,
Oliver

Welcome, and just out of idle curiosity, who's been talking about us?

hello, Tanglerat,
I started my search with freshwater and thought to reference youtube for species and location. Ran across a video of a guy landing a big pike in Cavan. I sent a plea for help, the poster basically said that i'm on the wrong end of the island, and to try this board.
you'll have to pardon my ignorance in geography, i was educated by the american public school system
