Looking For ideas for Annual Fishing Club Trip

Sun Feb 03, 2008 11:51 am

Hi,
I am a secretary of a Dublin based fishing Club and I am looking for anyone out there who could give me some ideas (no matter how small or big you may think) for our Annual Fishing trip which will we hope to schedule around early July.

The fishing trip will consist of between 15 - 25 persons (depending on availability) and is a annual trip in remembrance of a dear brother and friend who passed away a couple of years ago.

Last trip we went to Kilkee and chartered a couple of boats and had the crack over a 2 day period and would like some similar ideas if you know of any......even package deals would be considered inc accommodation etc etc .

So please drop me a note if you have anything in mind.

Many Thanks
Luke.

Depends if you want a mix of shore and boat I would recommend Belmullet and Sean Lavelle for the charter. I am sure he could organise two or more boats for you if you get 20 people down...

If the weather is a bit dodgy as it still can be in July, you can fish the bays for flats rays and now apparently verty large stingrays (more on this later guys) - another contact made! :D

The beauty of Belmullet is that you can find shore marks to fish in any conditions and in July it will be fishing extremely well... you will need to book the boats(s) early as the weekends fill up for clubs and comps...

FWIW

Come to think of it, I've had a couple of away trips down in Union Hall in Cok which were mighty. More than one boat available too.
