Penn Powerstick Rods: Are they any good???

#1 Post by MackDublin »

I saw a site with these for sale, buy one get one free. I was looking at the Penn Powerstick Giller Thriller 8' 6" and a Powerstick 7' 8" 12 - 20lb class rod in this range. You can get both for a total of 65stg + P&P.

Is this a good price for good action rods or a good price for crap action rods?

Penn tuff stick

#2 Post by JimC »

I have used a Penn (Jarvis Walker) tuff stick 12-20lb. Are they the same blank as a power stick? It is a lovely rod with a beautiful action. The only down side would be I felt the handle was on the thick side.
