flatties - plaice, flounder, etc
cuckcoo wrasse
gunards
pollock
cod

just wondering what rigs to make up or should i just use my shore rigs for the same species. I'm going out to carlingford

this rig is multi species rig, it consists of two booms,30 inch 50lb rig boy, 20lb amnesia snood, size 1 hooks, beads, flasher spoons. top snood 10inches, bottom snood is a flowing hook length of about 36inches on 50lb line and two hooks. hope the image helps. this rig catches just about every thing imaginable, try it when drifting over sand. beef up the rig and hooks if your quarry is anything bigger than say 10lb, a ray requires a minimum hooks size of about a 2/0 and snood of about 30lb because of their pads. you could try it over reefs but i prefer baited pink feathers or a single hook flowing trace for conger and ling.

can you add a third boom to that rig?

you can but three hooks is usually enough.
