Hi Folks,
Has anyone fished the Klondyke, East of the Maidens lighthouse?
Any information on rigs and techniques would be greatly appreciated.

The Klondyke is in the top right labeled Overfalls.

Hi Andy,
Always thought that was the Klondyke but I could be wrong.
Maybe its a local name? If it is the needle do you know where the klondyke is?
Thanks,
Trev

I would call that mark the klondyke as well ,haven't fished it in a few years ,the last time all i could get were rocks with massive sea anonemes  I was fishing a pirk across the top of it .
There should be good pollack and ling in around it ,just doesn't get fished very often due to the run of tide over it making a few waves .

Aye Ronald, Went out on saturday to it and it is well rough out there.
Got some good pollack and coalfish. If we could have got the boat static over the side of the rock for any length of time we would have had a field day as the Fish finder was showing up loads of fish. As it happened we had to settle for drifting over it. Didn't lose any tackle though :-)

It s roughly five miles from the maidens and is well trawled by the trawlers on there way home.

Hi George,
This is an very interesting debate. The co-ords you give for the klondyke, everyone in our club calls that the 'North Bank'.
Cheers,
Trev
