and for €2k

Thats €2000 John

Plenty of 1/2 decent (I think, refer to topic) boats in the £1250-1500 bracket for sale in the UK, prices really seem to have tumbled since when I was looking last year :D

Any advice John on my original post :?:

i knew it was 2000 mark.
sorry for been so blunt but what i was trying to say if you could turn it into a 12k or 20k you would get a lot to choose from
I'm sure you guessed that with the replies you have received.
at the end of the day you get what you pay for i wish you luck with your boat hunt, because thats exactly what your going to be doing.

mourne boats had a wilson flyer with a nice 60 mariner 2stk + roller trailer for 3.500ish when i was up there last month or so.
do a little more saving mark give yourself a little target for next year

Sound John,

Did you get a look at the flyer, is it in decent condition?

I could spend upto €4/5/6k really, but fancied keeping a few quid in my pocket for a jetski, and also the less I spend now, the more dosh I have for fuel for my fishing trips

hi shamoo,

i bought a seahog hunter a couple of years ago, 2k stirling :)

thought i had a bargain, but then all the bits and bobs kept popping up

radio was crap repaced with a new dsc navman 7100, and ariel

fishfinder and gps not working properly,,,,,another few hundred quid

i re-newed all the wheelbearings, more time and expense

no flares, lifejackets, or fire extinguishers,,,more money

splashguard and windows faded and scratched, and the big one, found osmosis in the floor :(

off to seahog,,,new splashguard, windows, and new floor, not much change out of 1200 quid

spent well over 2k on it, sold last year to a mate for 3k, he got a bargain :!:
