quicksilver discussion

I am a recent member, been trawling Appollo duck fer months but need advice from experienced fisherpeops. Im after a fast fisher with pilot house and fancy the quicksilver range (2nd hand of course). I have also noticed quite a few similar boats that are cheaper, why? Can anyone give me advice and can anyone point me in the direction of a reliable wee boat that can be towed, launched and recovered handily that can also get me out of bother on the North Coast and offer shelter in the weather. Askin a fair bit there I know but any help is appreciated.

i suggest that you read a thread on the subject on another fishing bulletin board:-

the concenus here is to stay away from the smaller ones the quicksilver 500 in particular. this is due to the high centre of gravity that the style imparts causing very poor handling

that the boat (QS500)was something of a liability and not really safe outside of very sheltered waters.
