Inboard diesil drive plate

Fri Oct 12, 2012 12:37 pm

As some of ye may know from reading my fishing reports ,we needed to be towed in the last day and the gear box would not engage. We got a chance to have a look at her over the last few days and the drive plate between the engine and the gearbox was literally in bits.

Now I'm the first to admit I don't know much about engines. So correct me if I'm wrong . I'm looking to source a new/second hand spring drive plate. The details I have are as follows:

Thamesway marine gearbox type 12000 mk11 with 2:1 reduction
model number 17z5912927.
Its to fit a peugeot 505/504 indenor xdp4/90

Any help lads with this would be great.

Is it something like a pressure plate?
Maybe your local clutch supplier might help. Where are you based?

I think it is the pressure plate more then the link driver disc I linked to .I'm based in Kinsale and the boats in Dungarvan but I'm more then willing to travel.

I'd try Noel o'Flynn's on the mallow road. A phone call first and bring the old disc if necessary.
