fishfinder problem

hey lads,my old humminbird fishfinder stopped workin suddenly and wont come back-ive checked all electrical and thats fine,fuses ok,voltage ok,batteries ok,my radio and vhf run on the fuse strip and no problems with those.the fishfinder does get some power because i can hear a beep or a continuous beepin at times but no display-any ideas or is it time open the wallet

Sounds terminal.
I would double check the voltage at the unit with a meter though, just to be sure.

Good advice already given - well worth checking the voltage at the unit itself. If you do need to invest in a new fishfinder check out this UK supplier http://www.jgtech.com/ look especially at their clearance bargains. They deliver to Ireland and I have always found them quick and reliable.
