Hi Nialler,

Glad 2 c u r getting into the boating world. U have a whole new fishing experience ahead of u.

First things first, u really need to do some boat handling courses, there are plenty available on the net, but u should at least do a power boat handling coarse. If u can, try also to do a navigation course i.e. in-shore navigation.

I am assuming that you have VHF license and an inshore Flair pack as these are a MUST. It also might be worth considering getting a GPS/chart plotter and fish finder. These are not necessary, BUT very worth while having.

By the way, what type of water r u fishing ?? wot part of the country r u in??

If there are any questions u need answering, send me a PM.
