Hi Liam

Pretty patchy there, was around Praia da Rocha and it was very early morning for small bream off the shore and small flatties. not ideal.

http://www.caranx.net/forums has an English forum, embryonic but good.
The top man there Nicola is an expert and a regular contributor on http://www.stripersonline.com a superb US east coast lure fishing website. It covers many of the species available in Europ and the Canaries... http://www.seaspin.com is good if you can read Italian, otherwise forget it.

Having talked to Nicola, I think there is more fishing out there than you think. Apparently lure fishing on the Canaries is almost unheard off from the shore, so I will be trying my luck in three weeks on Fuerteventura.

Hope this helps...
Kieran Hanrahan

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
