The halibut were only wee, though.
apologies Tanglerat, i seem to have inadvertently clicked on a place called Koppang, not Koppangen
dear dear
so ok i have found where it is then but unfortunately it doesnt seem to be too appealing if the halibut werent big - they would probably have suited me, but not my buddy..
great looking place all the same, thanks for the links

I dont think you would be certain to get a fish of 80 to 100 lbs during any particular trip but would Alaska guarantee a fish of that size.
Sandland-Loppa was indeed a destination that i was pretty interested in Brian, thanks for the response
its disappointing though that yous didnt hit into any bigger halibut. mind you, 35kg would do it for me!
do you think that there may be a better/berst season for the bigger halibut there..?
i simply dont know if there is any particular location anywhere in Norway (to include a more favoured season/month) that has a good chance of producing 80 - 100lb+ fish. i obviously need to look into it more. No harm in pushing it here though too.. for some first-hand advice if i can get it
as for Alaska, my friend insists that the halibut are bigger on average over there ..in the right places, apparently
cheers
