Tue Dec 31, 2013 12:38 pm

Hey peeps

Looks like I will be getting away for 10 days (1 fishing day) in July.
Destination looks like Baden / Vannes on the the Gulf of Morbihan in southern Brittany.

Any been there, looks very fishy.

Thanks

Have fished a few estuary marks in Brittany and a bit further South of where you are intending to stay.
Rock marks will throw up wrasse and the odd Bass.
Beaches will throw up Bass also.
The estuary marks seem to be more productive, even far up the mouth of the rivers.
Black Bream, Guilthead Bream and schoolie Bass.
I usually dug my own bait, lug are plentiful.
Most of the Le Clerk & Super U/ Hyper U chains of supermarkets sell live rag worm, usually found in a small fridge in the angling aisle.
Spinning or plugging will take bass off exposed outcrops.

Tight lines and best of luck.

cheers mate

found one website from a local bass guide, not a lot of useful information on it but good for a laugh. My French is definitely better than his English... which isn't saying much!

I will be based in Baden but will have car.
If you can recall a few of the marks you had some success on I'd appreciate a PM.
Chances are I will only have the one day to sneak off with a rod

thanks again

Kieran
