Charter Boat Croatia

Tue Jan 24, 2012 1:57 pm

Alright lads been away for a while!

After moving to Belgium to work the only fish I see are in a supermarket!

Off to Croatia in august for 10 days and I want to get at least 1 day charter fishing in, hopefully catch a few Tuna!

Does anyone have any recommendations of who and where around Dubrovnik, Split etc??

Tight Lines!

Hi Kevin,
I was on holidays in Croatia in June 2010 but the fishing was very poor.
The last week of the trip we spent on one of the islands (Pasman) staying in a fisherman's cottage and went out with a local guy in his boat but fishing was very bad and i wouldn't recommend that guy not least beacuse of one particualar incident, I caught a female cookoo wrasse, he grabbed it off my hook and whacked it over the head before I had a chance to stop him. Then told me that it was the first time he had seen a cookoo wrasse in 5 or 6 years and thought they were extinct in Croatian waters

You could try these guys:

However, August is quite late, Spring, particularly April is supposed to be best time to fish, and later in the year when temperatures begin to cool down.

Good Luck

was staying on an island off croatia's split for a few weeks called rab, lots of little bream type fish to be caught all around the coast and lots of mullet particularly in the harbours, great sport catching, heard the charters are poor most of the time i avoided them being told that they mostly only brought in the little fellas you could get from the shore, mullet fishing good thou!
