Just wondering if macks are still around in the west of ireland since our water temp is currently playing in the 13 to 15 degrees.
Thanks,

3 of us kayak fishing inside Bere Island last Saturday had 20-30 each, not actually looking for them. I'm thinking mackerel season has changed, I'd 10 in Cork Harbour in February while looking for other fish.

I've had mackeral in November off skerries pier, and I've caught them in January in berehaven cork,I'd say if it's deep water you have a chance year round on the west coast ,try mack strip on the bottom if there not taking lures or feathers
