If anyone wants to get the latest conservation news, a good place to start is http://www.sacn.org.uk/Conservation-and-Political-News/
The main home page is http://www.sacn.org.uk
You can also join the SACN, regardless of whether you live in the UK or not - it's primarily concerned with conservation of UK and European stocks which are of interest to recreational sea anglers.
Unlike most things in life, membership is
free and lending your name to a conservation-minded organisation allows us to campaign more effectively. Like any organisation competing for the attention of government departments (and we are active from local levels right through to the top of the European Parliament), the larger the membership figure we can quote as being representative of, the more likely we are to be able to make a positive difference to the issues that affect recreational sea anglers.
The full who/what/why blurb is available at

Quite a few members of the forum are already signed up to the SACN (myself included) so if anyone else wants to join (and everyone who signs up helps, even just by signing up and
being a member) please fill in the form on the above page. Takes all of 2 minutes, gives a lot back to supporting our sport. That's not a lot to ask, is it?
