My friends and myself went out for a few hours of mack bashing. We ended up with 2 bags. Unfortunately as the macks are back and so are...
It took us half an hour to gather these and the few hours to reel in the macks.
They are definitely back and so as the people trashing the marks.

North Clare Wabs?
Depressing... But it's not just the rock marks
The beaches and dunes where I was were ruined with litter too
Fair play for cleaning and reporting!

I would hate to think what the state of some beaches and nooks and crannys are like round the coast are like after the fine weather, full of other peoples rubbish and it will be let to us and anglers alike to clean it up.

well done to all for cleaning up marks after the fair weather fishers, done it a few times myself, but apart from the mess that these b******ds leave, what annoys me is the fact its guys like us that still get the blame

I fear that when rain and wind comes this rubbish would all fly to our seas...

well done Wilbert - on both accounts

Good man Wabs, this is something i do myself anytime I'm at the shore, we should all do our bit even if only as an example.
I read somewhere (New Scientist?) that so much plastic ends up in the sea that one percent of all beach sand on the planet is now ground-down plastic. And plastic's only been around for 60 years or so.....
It might help if county councils put an occasional waste barrel near these spots, but they'd probably just be filled up by domestic waste dumpers.

just havent considered it
get yourself down there if you wish to make amends for the last time

im sure theres plenty of parties to join? tell a charter boat skipper that you could make up number(s) on somebody else's planned trip if theres a space(s) - thats if you dont want to plan your own trip so far from home. tag along with another organised party..?
cheers!
